Why Your Participation Matters
Hospice PEI is 100% non-profit – we rely solely on the generosity of others to ensure Islanders and their loved ones are supported during and after death. Every dollar raised or donated stays in our community and makes a significant impact to the residents of Prince Edward Island. Funds received go towards providing programs and services at Hospice PEI which include such things as bereavement services, volunteer support, and education.
Check Out How Islanders Have Hiked In Previous Years
5-year-old Lucy biked 5KM last year with a starting goal of raising $21 for Hospice PEI, by the time her bike ride rolled around in June, Lucy had raised over $250 thanks to her sponsors!
Last year, Leanne asked her friends and family to support her Hike & Bike for Hospice campaign. Leanne walked 5KM each day and dedicated each walk to the memory of one of her donor’s loved ones. Leanne even carried a photo with her of the person she was walking in memory of.
One of our cherished volunteers, Helen, walked every day and tracked the distance she would walk. At the end of the campaign, she added up her walking distance and made a donation of $4 per km. Helen ended up donating over $200 to our Hike & Bike for Hospice campaign this way!
