Hospice PEI’s 27th annual Let Their Light Shine was another wonderful success thanks to all of you! With your continued support in all of our regions, we raised over $20,000! In each of our locations we received feedback on how much this campaign means to those living on PEI and the gratitude those felt on the return of this campaign to its full capacity – we are honoured to be trusted with letting your loved one’s light shine for another year.
Huge thank you’s to our Let Their Light Shine locations this year, Summerside Superstore, Tignish Co-op, O’Leary Co-op, Bloomfield Foodland and the Royalty Crossing Mall (Charlottetown Mall)!
This beloved fundraising campaign brings loved ones together to honour the memory of those who they hold dear. Whether it be a family member, friend or even a pet, write who you would like to remember on a memory card, hang it in our memory forest and give the gift of giving by making a donation.
Participation is EASY! Pop by while you’re shopping or make it a new tradition and bring some family or friends along. Once you are at one of our locations there are only 3 simple steps: 1) make a donation of your choosing 2) write those who you would like to remember on a memory card and 3) hang your memory card on one of our memory trees.

In 2021, Hospice PEI dedicated the memory trees in all 5 locations to those who have been lost over the pandemic. As a province, we haven’t been able to grieve in a way in which we are accustomed to: funerals, wakes, and coming together to support one another as a community. As our trees fill up throughout our campaign, it is a beautiful reminder that we are not alone in missing someone during the holidays. Let us all come together throughout the Let Their Light Shine campaign to support one another in our grief.
