And that’s a wrap!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in our 26th annual Let Their Light Shine campaign. 2020 was quite the year! Thanks to our amazing supporters, our 2020 Let Their Light Shine campaign managed to bring in just over $14,000 for Islanders and their families who are on the end-of-life journey!
We want to send out a giant thank you to our Queens region volunteers who were amazing, as always, and who stuck with us when we had to change our schedule due to new COVID-19 restrictions. We would not have been able to do it without them and we are so thankful for all they continue to do for our organization.
We also want to send a huge thank you to our East Prince & West Prince region volunteers who really helped us out during this year’s Let Their Light Campaign. Even when our event looked different from previous years, our volunteers did not skip a beat and stepped up to the plate when needed! We are very much looking forward to next year when we can bring our Memory Trees back to East & West Prince, safely. We also would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in our East & West Prince Let Their Light Shine campaigns this year. It looked very different than other years, but you continued to support us, and that means the world!
We also can’t forget to send a huge THANK YOU to the Charlottetown Mall, Summerside Superstore, Tignish Co-op, Bray’s Independent, O’Leary Farmers Co-op Food Market, and Harper’s Automotive in Tignish for hosting our Let Their Light Shine events this year!
To sum things up, this month was a quite a whirlwind! We were so happy to be able to allow our volunteers to return to the Charlottetown Mall during the last week of the campaign, once COVID-19 restrictions were lifted again. Hearing all the amazing stories of your loved ones and providing comfort while you and your family hang a card in their memory, is truly what makes this campaign so special. We can’t wait to see you all next year! In the meantime, stay safe, and stay healthy.
