About Us

Most Islanders will face an end of life journey with a loved one. Since 1985 we have created a community of caring individuals making each day count for Islanders and their families through hospice support, comfort, and care programs. We also support Island families after a loved one’s death through our grief support services.

Global Ends

Hospice PEI exists so that Islanders experience quality hospice and palliative care, within the available resources of the organization.

Our Values

We respect each other, our care recipients, our public and ourselves.

We are caring and compassionate in our actions.

We work collaboratively within our organization and with others.

We make decisions, at all levels of the organization, that are informed and evidence based.

Ends

Islanders, with a medically provided life limiting or palliative diagnosis, experience person-centered care through their dying journey.

Islanders impacted by the death of their loved ones, experience person-centered support through their grief journey, with a priority to those whose loved ones have been care recipients of Hospice PEI.

Islanders know about, and have access to, hospice and palliative care and bereavement services and resources.

Islanders are supported by a favourable legislative and policy environment.

Service providers have the knowledge they need to provide evidence-based best practices in hospice and palliative care.
