Hospice PEI volunteers go above and beyond to make a client’s food cravings come true.
East Prince Hospice volunteer Lisa Arsenault visited a client who was saying she was sad to have missed out on her favorite divinity fudge this Christmas. Despite divinity fudge being notoriously difficult to make, Lisa decided to try. Her first effort was like glue and her second effort was like a brick. She took them to her client anyway and they had a good laugh.
When she told me the story, I knew to call our expert divinity fudge maker, Helen Muttart. Even though the client will be making it to our Valentine’s Day fudge sale next month Helen said, “Oh no, she shouldn’t have to wait. Consider it done!”. The lovely client dived straight into the box and said, “It’s sooo good! You made my day.”
Thanks Lisa and Helen, you are very special people!
