Heather Sheen

Heather is from Summerside, PEI where she resides with her husband Mark and three children, Jaxon, Tanner, and Norah. She has worked in the field of Behaviour Analysis for 27 years and holds an Honours BA in Psychology, a MA in Behaviour Analysis and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Heather spent much of her career working as a Senior Behaviour Analyst, Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Practice Lead at Ontario’s largest children’s treatment centre. She has also worked as a Behaviour Consultant and Operations Manager in Reunion Island, where she was responsible for the startup of the island’s first therapy center for children with special needs. Additional work has included employment as Program Manager and lead therapist providing services for Indigenous communities in northern Canada, Ontario and PEI and as an Autism Consultant with the Public Schools Branch of PEI.

Heather now works as a private consultant in Behaviour Analysis and utilizes her Interior Design Diploma on various projects. She also volunteers in her community acting as co-president of a home and school association. As a mother of 3, much of Heather’s time is spent at hockey rinks, soccer fields or running to gymnastics. She also enjoys all activities that can get her into nature. Heather was motivated to join Hospice PEI having watched her parents collectively volunteer with the organization for 30 years and as a result of her beloved grandmother’s recent passing. She is grateful to be a part of Hospice PEI and is looking forward to contributing to the important work that it does.
