Are you an unpaid caregiver caring for someone who is palliative, has a chronic end-stage illness or is beginning the journey of caring for someone with a life-limiting illness?
Hospice PEI is offering FREE monthly support groups beginning July 2022.
What is peer support and how can it help caregivers?
Peer support is a supportive relationship between people who have a lived experience in common. Peer supporters provide emotional and social support which may include resources for caregivers. Connecting with another person who has lived a similar experience can be a vital link for someone who is struggling. Connecting with a group of people with similar lived experiences can be beneficial to mental health.
Want to know more? Please call or email the Hospice Services Coordinator in your region. Since seating is limited, registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided.
